The Prime Minister was very kind, gracious and accommodating to this “Okie” photographer with our request for photos. The sweet sound of music can be heard around the Vally of the sun, thanks to Jesse McGuire. Long time Phoenix resident and trumpet player, McGuire is known for his rendition of the National Anthem which he has played for Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. Jesse also paid a moving patriotic tribute to those who were lost on September 11, 2001, by performing Amazing Grace at Sun Devil Stadium for the Arizona Cardinals, for which he received the Game Ball.
McGuire has been the featured performer at numerous sporting events including the Daytona 500, NBA Finals,Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and his most notable performances were at the 2001 World Series, for which, he received a World Series Championship Ring from the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks are currently on a four game winning streak!
McGuire is also the 2010 recipient of the Copper Sword Award, presented by The Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society.

The Band Perry rocked the walls of the Phoenician in Scottsdale recently and Peter Jordan Photography captured all of the action. Sibling Trio let by Kimberly Perry belted out hits like “If I Die Young”, “Post Card from Paris”, and “Better Dig Two” along side brothers Neil Perry and Reid Perry.
This trio of Grammy winners for best new artist, knew how to get the ballroom clapping, dancing and singing along, a great way to close out a great trip to sunny Scottsdale Arizona.

Scottsdale, AZ – Baseball is in full bloom this season as the Cactus League spring training gets under way here in the Valley of the sun. Peter Jordan photographed Billy Beane and Paul DePodesta, the two key players in the movie “Moneyball” staring Brad Pitt, as they captivated the audience at the Phoenician resort with their baseball tales and principles of sabermetrics.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Monsoon season was in full effect this past week as the Valley was soaked by summer rains. Residents of the East Valley were particularly impacted by Saturday’s storm, as more than an inch of rain came down in Mesa in just 30 minutes. Scottsdale, AZ – Ballet Arizona recently took an intermission from the Ballet Ball with “The Ballet Thing 2012” – a festive, fun, and playful evening of dance, dining, and celebrating at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Attendees and guests enjoyed a preview performance of PLAY before the Company brings full production to the Joyce in New York City.
Proceeds from The Ballet Thing will go to support Ballet Arizona’s New York City debut.

Marriott, Jr. at the beautiful Camelback Inn Scottsdale Resort & Spa. Oklahoma State’s Cowboys capped the greatest football season in school history with an epic Fiesta Bowl victory. OSU beat Stanford 41-38 in overtime.

Of the many Fiesta Bowl events that take place in the Valley of the Sun, the Fiesta Bowl Parade is one of the most popular. Thousands of people lined the streets of central Phoenix on December 31st to enjoy the Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. The Tostitos parade entry, led by the Valley Big Brothers-Big Sisters participants highlighted this year’s nearly 100 entries, that featured floats, balloons, bands, equestrian, specialty groups and honorary participants, including the Grand Marshal, Kirk Gibson of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The boys of Oklahoma were in the Valley of the Sun this week to proudly represent OK in the 23rd Annual Insight Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona and the 41st Annual Tostitos Fiesta Bowl at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ. The Big 12 Conference’s Oklahoma University Sooners and Oklahoma State University Cowboys, led by Head Coaches, Bob Stoops and Mike Gundy, respectively, defeated their BCS rivals. Peter Jordan had the honor of photographing the fourth annual White Christmas at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, a Holiday Evening Benefiting Ryan House. Inspired by the musical classic “White Christmas,” written by Irving Berlin at the Arizona Biltmore in the 1940s, the evening was filled with holiday cheer and delicious food. Distinguished guests included Senator Jon Kyl and his wife Caryll plus this year’s Legacy Award recipients, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schubert (as pictured above). Superb entertainment was provided by Jim May and the Affinity Band.

The Jordan Photography team (Chad & Peter) had the privilege of photographing the 2011 AZMPI Holiday event this year. The beautiful Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino provided the setting for the celebration – an evening to relax and enjoy old and new friends, complete with holiday surroundings, gift stockings and good tidings.
